Back to reality after 3 weeks of fantastic fun filled vacation in Canada and USA and 1 week of enriching Oracle ADF course. Is time to hit the office with ZEST!

I pray for good health for my family members and friends.

Nothing is more important than good health.

Dad fell down and sprained his leg. Now, he is walking with great difficulty. The sight of him in pain makes me unbearably sad. All I can do is be there for him. Brought him to consult the doctor, hope he will be fine really soon.

I wonder how is it like having a house near town.

*Updates*

Went to scout for the new house. It was great! Although was a tad bit far from the MRT, it was still of a walkable distance. It took about 10 minutes stroll to reach the house.

There was a shopping centre with a huge ntuc and food court just 2 blocks away.

Took about 9 mins to reach orchard road.

The thought of buying the first big asset is stressful. Especially I am new in this area. I can’t believe that within a few months I might be the owner of a house.

Caravan I had in mind since I was a little girl. I would role play as a caravan driver with my sister, Kate, as a passenger. She would cook, make the bed for me.

I was looking for accommodation in Grand Canyon, and came to know that there is a Trailer Village. This immediately brought me back to my past, when I was once a true blood gypsy as I dreamt and role played a gypsy life. I would role play as a caravan driver with my sister, Kate, as a passenger. She would cook, make the bed for me. We would travel to different places, meet different people and shoot down monster (ok, this part is ridiculous). We were happy because we were always together in our ultimate bullet proof caravan!

What a vast difference in the perception of the world I have today compared to back then. When I grew much older, a jet-set life is all I want.

Antelope Grand Canyon

I was in the lift with my boss yesterday. He showed me his iPhone and told me that he came across this interesting site call Kobo, and he could buy books at a cheaper price other than his all time favourite site, Amazon. He said it was cheap and he bought a book called “The reason for god” which according to him was a good read. Never did he knew that he actually purchased an ebook! He highlighted to me some of the features like highlight, bookmark, imitate real book appearance, add note, font size setting, dictionary etc..

Kobo rang in my mind, I remembered having it in my iPhone just that I did not fully utilize it.

So I tried to buy ebook using my iphone but it can’t be done. So I went to the website to search for the book I wanted to read.. called “Honey Money”. There she was, elegantly waiting for me to purchase, and yes I bought it!

Reading ebooks on my iPhone reminded me the time I owned a windows smartphone with Twilight Saga in “pdf” format when I could not highlight or bookmark etc… I just love kobo ebook interface and user experience for iPhone!  Compared Kobo to iBook, iBook’s library seemed to me it is seriously lacking of books.
